AITX has initiated efforts to provide OEM system-level components to specific industries and customers outside of the company’s current security services industry footprint.

AITX has received an order for a ROSA security robot. The purchase order was identified by RAD as an example of the complexities and considerable effort involved in selling advanced technology solutions to B2B customers.

On September 27, AITX announced that it had received six orders, totaling fifteen units, from two recently signed authorized resellers and four existing authorized resellers. The product line of fifteen safety devices ordered since the last public announcement includes eleven RIOs, two ROSAs and two AVAs. AITX exhibited at GSX 2022 in Atlanta September 12-14. At the security industry trade show, RIO, several ROSAs and AVAs were on display.

On September 15, AITX announced pre-order commitments for thirty of its recently announced RIO™ solar-powered portable security solutions. RIO (ROSA Independent Observatory) continues production of the best-selling and multi-award winning AITX security robot known as ROSA.

AITX exhibited at GSX 2022 in Atlanta. RIO, several ROSA and AVA were exhibited at the security industry show.

RIO was designed with portability and round-the-clock performance in mind. RIO is completely self-contained and self-sufficient. All the components needed to provide security and surveillance day and night are included with RIO. All networking hardware and software is provided, including AITX’s “cell-optimized” connectivity. At its base is a sturdy portable trailer positioning the unit’s two solar panels and housing the device’s high-performance batteries and control systems. RIO’s retractable mast extends nearly 20′ where a single ROSA is mounted, providing a conveniently positioned 180° field of view with its two high-resolution PTZ cameras. On September 8, AITX announced that it would be attending and presenting at two upcoming security industry seminars.

Allied Universal, the nation’s largest security service provider, has asked AITX to participate in its “Maintaining Resilience in the Face of the Evolving Active Shooter Threat” seminar, to be held September 21, 2022 at Charlotte Convention Center in Charlotte, North Carolina. AITX gun detection technology and the related “Bailey’s Gift” campaign have received widespread reception and attention since their introduction in June. AITX will demonstrate its gun detection via the award-winning ROSA security device.

The Security Industry Association (SIA) will present the first in a series of free virtual public events on Tuesday, September 27, 2022. AITX CEO Steve Reinharz is chair of the AI, Drones and Robotics Interest Group of the SIA and will lead the session. This online event will focus on key topics related to artificial intelligence (AI).

• AITX ROSA 3.0 named Product of the Year by Security Today magazine

On September 7, AITX announced that its ROSA 3.0 had been named the recipient of the Product of the Year award by Security Today magazine.

Security Today’s New Product of the Year award recognizes the outstanding product development achievements of security equipment manufacturers whose products are considered particularly outstanding in their ability to improve security. The AITX ROSA 3.0 was named Product of the Year in the Autonomous Response Surveillance category.

• AITX closes fiscal quarter with increased business activity

On September 2, AITX announced multiple orders and signed a new authorized reseller in the final days of its fiscal quarter ending August 31, 2022.
Four ROSA security robots have been ordered by The Richman Group, the parent company of Citrus Construction, an existing AITX customer with several ROSA units deployed.

Two AVA units have also been ordered through one of AITX’s recently signed authorized dealers. These AVA devices will be deployed at one of the dealership’s end-user sites, providing controlled access for self-driving vehicles and visitors, replacing traditional and costly security personnel at access gates.
AITX has also signed a new authorized reseller, a regional security service provider located in Southern Michigan. This dealer has ordered a ROSA device for demonstration purposes.
