Apple and Tesla among top tech companies employees want to work for

In the face of economic uncertainty, tech talents are looking for bigger and better career opportunities. But where are they looking?
To track and better understand where tech talent is headed, document management company SmallPDF recently analyzed the number of people seeking career opportunities at some of the largest tech companies in the United States, based on monthly searches on Google.
The tech landscape has suffered in recent months as startups and titans have suffered rounds of major layoffs in a bid to shore up their operations. But for a growing number of job seekers, this hasn’t diminished the appeal of newly available positions within these organizations as they begin to focus on growth again.

“While some of America’s best-known tech companies do rank in the top 10, many don’t, indicating that job searches for many people are varied and job seekers in the tech space are keeping their options open,” a SmallPDF spokesperson said in a statement. “Companies at the top of the list benefit from the prestige their brand holds, which helps them attract top talent, which helps them continue to lead the industry.”
The words “Google jobs” and “Google careers” received over 339,000 and 148,000 searches per month respectively in 2022, implying that Google is perhaps the most searched employer in the tech space; Apple, which is in second place in the top 10, is almost half behind.
